Anybody know the date or just the rough time of year for when the Soviet Army re-crossed the border into Poland at the end of ww2? The climactic scene of Israel centers around the evacuation of Auschwitz, and I kind of need to know the military build-up to that.... I know the camp was evauated January 1945. But before that I'm a bit befuddled. I want the sense of time to be deliberately mushy and fuzzy, but this involves planning! Or something....
